Studio Nights - March

$30.00

Art Parties for Everyone: Every Second and Fourth Wednesday at 6:30

All skill levels welcome

Hosted by: Brooke (brookeriley.art)

$30 monthly fee : goes towards the space, materials, sets/models, and snacks/refreshments.

Because of the nature of group paper making, tickets for march have also been reduced to only eight available!

March Meetings:

🌟March 11th: Papermaking is finally here! This session will be more like a workshop as I lead the crew through the process of making recycled paper. This is a messy one you guys; come prepared to get paper pulp on you, maybe a bit wet from large bins of water, and prepared to stand for most (if not all) the night. Your sheets of paper will likely not be dried by the end of the session so they’ll be left to dry and ready for pick up on March 25th!

🌟March 25th: We’re reeling in all the nostalgic crafts of your childhood this Wednesday with Shrinky Dinks and Perler Beads! No idea what those are? No worries! Shrinky Dinks are a flat plastic that you draw onto and then apply heat to so they shrink down to about 30% of their original size. This is to be preformed by baking them at a low temperature and very quickly in a well ventilated space (AKA I will be offering to take them home  to do this for people so they don’t have to worry about it! haha!) Perler Beads are those colorful little beads that you arrange on a grid and then iron so they flatten and merge together.

FAQ’S

  • Studio Nights are art events for the community: all skill levels are invited. The art parties last roughly two hours, but feel free to come late or leave early; stay true to your creative process. We will have limited art materials available for use and largely consider this as BYOP (bring your own paper hehe). Come expecting snacks, beverages, and to be immersed in a creative environment complete with a myriad of engaging studio sets, lights, music, materials, anything to play with the senses.

  • To stay flexible to everyone’s creative journey, you will only have to commit to one month at a time. Seats are limited, though, and previous attendees will get notified 24 hours in advance about the new month’s opening.

As of 2025 there is now an Annual Pass! This saves you a whopping $100 rather than purchasing a monthly ticket. (Art) Party on!

  • Unfortunately, to gauge attendance and materials, only those who are signed up are able to attend the meetings.

  • To treat this like a working studio space, we prefer no outside food. Please try your best to bring beverages in a container with a secure lid to avoid mishaps. We will make sure to have plenty of snack and drink options available for y’all.

  • Please, bring any materials you would like to use to express yourself, no need to share anything that you bring (unless you want to, that is). Sketchbooks, paper, canvas, watercolor sets, pastels; we welcome it all.

If you don’t have supplies at home, still come enjoy the night out. We will have some introductory supplies available.

  • Espacio is located on the second story of a courtyard shopping center. Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator and can only be accessed by stairs.

We are accepting to all walks of life here. No hate speech or acts will be tolerated :)

Although the host, Brooke, only speaks English we have many bilingual attendees and hope that a language barrier never holds any creatives back from joining the party.
